About the Seminar:

This course is designed to assist therapists in understanding anxiety disorders in adults. We will discuss diagnosis, average age of onset, prevalence and treatments found to be successful. By attending this seminar, participants will be able to define and differentiate between Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder and Social Phobia. Medications to treat anxiety will also be discussed. Participants will leave this seminar with a better understanding of anxiety and ways to treat your clients.

 

About the Speaker:

Anna Stark, LCSW, MSW

Anna received both her Bachelors and Masters of Social Work from the University of Kentucky. Anna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Kentucky. She is currently the Co-Director of the Child and Family Division for LifePoint Solutions. She is also the Director of Regional School-Based Services and Kentucky Center. Anna has been providing family, individual and group counseling for over 35 years.

2. Differentiate between other disorders, such as OCD, PTSD, etc.

3. Identify 3 types of medications used to treat anxiety.

4. Discuss effective treatment options.
